چکیده :

Magnetic nanoparticles have a wide range of applications like magneto-optics, sensors, and etc. Synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoparticles with high dispersion stability is presented here. Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared through solvothermal method. Then, they were chemically modified with polyacrylic acid (PAA). Chemisorption of PAA onto Fe3O4 NPs was confirmed by FT-IR analysis and morphology of the obtained magnetite nanoparticles was investigated by TEM. It was found that they are all below 10 nm. Also, the magnetic properties were studied by VSM analysis to prove their superparamagnetic characteristics. Excellent magnetic properties of the prepared Fe3O4 nanoparticles were approved by their saturation magnetization (Ms) of 26 emu/g, low coercive force (Hc, 0.3 Oe) and low remanence magnetization (Mr, 0.02 emu/g). Moreover, the colloidal Fe3O4 nanoparticles are highly stable against precipitation and exhibited magnetic properties similar to the powdered Fe3O4 nanocrystals. The results confirmed high quality of the obtained Fe3O4 nanoparticles for the advanced applications.
