Optimizing inpatient throughput (flow) is essential in a
healthcare scenario with increasing patient demands,
constrained assets and a rising cost of resources.
A major problem currently faced in Brazil's public
healthcare system is the long waiting lines for healthcare.
Another factor interfering negatively in this process is the
use of technologies with slow data transmission and high
computational memory consumption.
