Metal‐free graphene electrocatalyts for the Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR) are attractive for their high activity and economic advantages. We demonstrate F-, Cl-, Br‐ and I‐doped graphene oxide (X-GO) catalysts for ORR in alkaline media. Graphene is synthesized from graphite electrodes using ionic liquid-assisted electrochemical exfoliation. We have evaluated the effectiveness of doping and performed electrochemical measurements of the ORR activity on these halogenated graphene materials. In order to study of catalysts characterization X-ray diffractometer (XRD) was used for determination of crystallite size. The electrochemical characteristics of the X-GO catalysts are investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and chronoamperometry (CA) for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in alkaline media.
