Partial least square regression (PLSR) and support vector regression (SVR) were used for simultaneous quantitative determination of drospirenone (DRSP) and ethinyl estradiol (EE) by spectrophotometric method in synthetic binary mixtures. For this purpose, a series of standard solutions were prepared for designing calibration set and 7 mixtures were prepared by choosing concentration of components randomly for test set in linear concentration range of each analyte and UV spectra of them were recorded from 200 to 300 nm. In PLSR method, the optimal number of factor was obtained 2 and 5 for DRSP and EE respectively with cross validation method and concentration of components were predicted.
