چکیده :

Introduction: Pregnant women due to considerable pressure as a result metabolic, hormonal and physical changes that increase their nutritional needs are very vulnerable to malnutrition. Choose the right foods and balanced nutrition the pregnant women is one of the most important things adjustment a meal plan tailored to suit the family eating habits is very important in this period. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the status and the pattern of food consumption in pregnant women referred to health and treatment centers was done. Methods: This study review article is to review and summing up the numerous articles of databases and scientific sites Google scholar, magiran, Embase, Sid, PubMed and iranmedex by keyword dietary habits, food consumption patterns, nutrition, pregnancy And pregnant women between 1995 - 2016 was done. Results: Evaluating the studies showed that the most consumed foods from all the food groups including yogurt, oranges, tomatoes, potatoes, vegetables, and was egg. Consumption of milk and dairy products, fruits and vegetables, especially in underweight women was significantly lower than the recommended amount. The average consumption of grains and dairy products in rural women was higher than that of urban women.The average fruit consumption between 130-140 grams urban women and rural women between 240- 248 grams which was statistically significant difference. Between the consumption of vegetables stewed with food and beverage consumption by pregnant women education, a significant relationship was found. The conflicting relationship between food consumption patterns was observed and age of pregnant women. Conclusion: Due to the failing to observe diversity in the nutritional plans of pregnant women, leading to inadequate intakes of nutrient was and studies showed how some of the food consumption and the amount consumed by pregnant women is not desirable .Therefore, appropriate training, nutrition and how to consumption the food and identify the different food groups to change their bad eating habits seems necessary.
