Background: Students Consulting is one of the important responsibilities of faculty members. The problem in this field can couse educational failure. The aim of this study was to determine the attitude of students about advising and counseling of counselor faculty members in paramedical school of Bushehr University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 235 students of Paramedical school filled up a questionnaire including personality information and specific questions about their counselor faculty members (divided into three major domains: active presence, knowledge of regulations, consulting and guildance). Data were collected and analyzed. by SPSS. Results: The age average was of 20.72 ± 2.83 years. 39.1% of students were male and 60.9% of them were female. There were significant difference between the term students and their viewpoints of conselor (p<0.05). In the other hands , there were significant difference between the kind of counselor faculty members and consulting areas (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results showed that students and counselor faculty members did not have enough knowledge about performing counseling tasks. Therefore, informing and educating faculty members regarding student advising and counseling are recommended.
