چکیده :

The present study was conducted to investigate change management and its relationship with intellectual capital among elementary school principals in Konarak. Other words, this study aimed to introduce dimensions of change management and their effect on intellectual capital. The population of the study consisted of 150 elementary school principals in Konarak, out of which 84 individuals were selected, as the minimum sample size, using the Cochran's formula. Ninety-two questionnaire forms were completed. In order to test the hypotheses proposed in this study, an adapted version of Montazeri's (2007) questionnaire with 38 items assessing change management and Bontis’s (1998) inventory with 41 questions measuring intellectual capital were used. Cronbach's alpha was used to estimate the reliability of the scales. For data analysis, t-test, correlation tests (to assess the correlation between variables) and simple regression analysis (to describe the relationship between the variables through simple mathematical equations) were applied. Results indicated that change management and intellectual capital of elementary school principals of Konarak were desirable. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between change management and intellectual capital. However, no significant difference was found between these two variables and the principals’ demographic features.
