Colon Classification is a one of the few important classification scheme. It was introduced and further developed during the first half of twentieth century. It has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other library classifications. On the other hand, ontological models are one of the mechanisms for creating relationships between different subjects. If it is possible to use the described data using the Colon Classification as an ontological model, data on numersous things can be transferred from the Colon Classification to the semantic web. The present study provides the result of research conducted using a descriptive library approach. The study comes to the conslusion that as the definition of each section of the Colon Classfication is by specific symptoms, each section of the data can also be defined in the ontological structure. Also, the relationships between the subjects and their nature, that is, the facets in the Colon Classification, can be described. The facets used in this classification system enable describing different sections of the subject and this makes it possible for colon-rated topics to be used in an ontological structure with the definition of its components.
