(Assessment of need for attention to the issue of security in usage of Information Technology (Including Case study

Due to the rapid increase in computer data volume and the role of IT in facilitating the exchange of this information today, IT security concept has got a special place among computer users and organizations. On the other hand, the role of human and organizational factors in the realization of this concept will be very important so, the aim of this study is to evaluate the safety of users on using information technology in public use and especially in organizations. To do this cross-sectional study, after compiling a questionnaire which own the reliability and validity, 60 people have randomly selected among all the staffs of Abhar’s Department of Education as a case study based on Charles Cochran formula and were asked some questions relate five IT factors including personal computers, e-mail, passwords, antivirus and organizations. After getting the results, to classify responses descriptive statistical methods have used and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and regression analysis) were used to evaluate the hypothesis of study. The results indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between safety of users and IT factors. Hope this research can helps to institutionalize the culture of suitable protecting of information and attract individuals and organizations’ attention to this important issue.
