چکیده :

this study is aimed at examining the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy in distress tolerance in adolescent boys. this study is semi-experimental with pre and post- test with control group. For measuring metacognitive characters the metacognitive questionnaire of Welz and questionnaire of distress tolerance for measuring distress tolerance were used. Individuals who receive low scores on distress tolerance will receive metacognitive therapy. Using SPSS 11 software the results were analysed by descriptive and inferential statistics (covariance) and Dependent T-test. he results showed that there is significant difference between experimental and control groups in their function after Welz metacognitive treatment (intervention). All hypotheses were approved. Conclusion: The metacognitive therapy has positive influence in increasing distress tolerance in youths and can be used to increase tolerance in youths.
