چکیده :

An experiment was done to verify effects of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers on some agronomical and morphological features of flue cured tobacco. The experiment was conducted in 2008 at the Rasht Tobacco Research Institute in Guilan Province as a factorial with 3 replications. The levels of fertilizer used in the study were as follows; (N1)35, (N2)45, (N3)55 and (N4)65 Kg N/ha and (K1) 150 and (K2)200 Kg K/ha. Effects of the various fertilizer treatments on yield of dry leaf (dry weight of leaf), flowering, dry weight of stalk, biological yield (biomass) and harvest index were evaluated in the study. The results demonstrated that the effects of nitrogen were significant on yield of dry leaf and dry weight of stalk at a probability level of 5% and on flowering and biomass at a probability level of 1%. Potassium had a significant effect on flowering at a probability level of 1%. The effect of interaction of nitrogen and potassium on flowering was significant at a probability level of 5% and on both biomass and harvest index at a probability level of 1%. Comparison of averages for effects of simple nitrogen showed that the highest performance rate of dry leaf, dry weight of stalk and biomass resulted from the application of 35 kg N/ha. According to the table for comparison of average effects of potassium, the highest rate of flowering resulted from the application of 150 kg K/ha. Comparisons between average mutual effects of nitrogen and potassium demonstrated the highest yield rate of dry leaf from treatments 5 and 1, the highest rates of flowering and harvest index from treatment 6 and the highest rate of dry weight of stalk and biomass from treatment 5.
