چکیده :

Water resource system planners have always regarded Karun river system very important as the Iran's largest hydropower potential. Topography of the river basin before entering the Khuzestan plain has created very suitable sites for the construction of reservoir dams for hydroelectric energy production. In this research, we studied systematic and integrated approach of multi reservoir systems by using Mike Basin Model in singular and integrated scenarios. The results obtained from 11 dams in the Karun watershed show that the firm energy in the systematic and integrated mode of operation is more than or equal to single operations in all powerhouses. This is true about the total amount of energy produced as well, but in some cases such as Powerhouse of Khersan 2 and Karun 4, the total amount of producing energy is slightly lower than the previous mode (less than 1%), despite dramatically increasing of energy produced in the system due to severe decreasing secondary energy.
