Studying Significance And Impact Of Information Technology In Supply Chain Management

Today, organizations are in turn attempting to find ways for improving their flexibility and reaction to global competition by using change of operational strategies, and methods and techniques which involve implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) paradigm. Furthermore, with development of novel technologies during the recent decade, use of information technology has been taken into account in academic and practical sectors as a prerequisite for effective control and management of current supply chain. The dimensions related to applying information technology and electronic business in supply chain management have led to fostering of new concepts in association with use of information technology for activation of supply chain. According to what discussed before, it is required to investigate impact of information technology on supply chain. For this purpose, we will seek for studying influences of such technology on supply chain management in this paper.
