NaBH4 in the presence of catalytic amounts of SnCl4.5H2O reduces varieties of nitroarenes to their corresponding amines. Reduction reactions were carried out in a mixture of CH3CN and H2O (3.0:0.3 ml) at room temperature with high to excellent yields of products.
