The Relationship between parenting style and creative among adolescents studying in Ilkhechi high schools

Background: The present study aimed to examine the relationship between parenting style and creative among adolescents studying in Ilkhechi high schools. Materials and Method: This was a descriptive – Correlation study with multistage cluster sampling of 200(150 male & 150 female) adolescents studying in Ilkhechi high schools. Questionnaires used in this study were Baumrind Parenting Styles Questionnaire and Shifer Creativity Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16. Results: Findings revealed a significant positive relationship between authoritative child-rearing style with creative. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that permissive and authoritarian styles has a significant negative correlation with creative. Finally, T-test results showed that there is a significant difference between girl and boy Child-Rearing Practices and creative variable. Conclusion: Educate parents about the consequences of parenting style for the children to achieve more creativity in the students.
