چکیده :

In this research, Zinc sulfide nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon has been synthesized and characterized by a simple procedure and efficiently has been applied for removal of Methyl Red (MR) from wastewater. For obtaining maximum dye removal the effect of significant to parameters such as pH 2.0, amount of ZnS nanoparticles on the activated carbon (ZnS-NP-AC), contact time 15 and concentration of MR on removal percentage of this dye in batch method by one at a time optimization method has been investigated. After the optimization of variables the experimental data at different concentration of MR was fitted using different models such as Langmuir, Freundlich and Tempkin. Following the investigation of contact time on the adsorption rate and fitting the obtained results to different kinetic models such as first order, second order, Elovich and interparticle diffusion model.
