چکیده :

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of lesson study in the professional competencies of teachers at Sari City. This was a descriptive type and using a causal comparison is done. Statistic society of this study is the entire elementary teachers of Sari, District 1, (650 teachers) in educational year of 2013-2014, then using Korjessi & Morgan Table, 242 teachers were selected observing proportions, they were placed into two 121-person groups (a group who participated in lesson study and a group who didn’t participate in lesson study). Collecting information through observation of classroom teachers with tools rating scale behavior took over four months is done. Data analysis was performed by SPSS software. The results showed that the approach was an effective factor in improving the professional competencies of teachers at Sari City and qualifications of the Sari teachers who participate in research studies was significantly better than teachers who didn’t participate in the lesson studies.
