چکیده :

The pistachio psylla, Agonoscena pistaciae Burckhardt & Lauterer (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) is a major pest 27 of pistachio trees throughout pistachio – producing regions in Iran. The effect of temperature on 28 developmental rate for egg and nymph of A. pistaciae was determined at different constant temperatures, 29 i.e.: 15, 20, 25, 30, 32.5 and 35±0.5ºC at controlled conditions. The relationship between temperature and 30 developmental rates were described by one linear and eight nonlinear models. The models were 31 evaluated based on R2, RSS, AIC and R2adj. For egg, the linear model and nonlinear models, Stinner aplo, 32 Lamb, Taylor, Sharp & DeMichele and Lactin, appropriately described the relationship between the 33 developmental rate and temperature. For nymph and egg to adult, the nonlinear models are not 34 appropriate to describe the observed data accurately. Using the linear model the lower temperature 35 threshold for egg, nymph and egg to adult was estimated 8.06, 10.38 and 9.97ºC, respectively. The 36 similar value of lower temperature threshold was estimated by Lactin model especially for egg. Thermal 37 constant for egg, nymph and egg to adult development was estimated 88.5, 243.90 and 333.33 DD, 38 respectively. Our results showed that, the linear model better describe the relationship between 39 developmental rate and temperature of A. pistaciae. These results could be incorporated in forecasting 40 models for integrated pest management of this pest
