Relationship between social support and social capital with spouse abuse

The aim of the present study was relationship between social support and social capital with spouse abuse. The study was descriptive-correlative. The population was of all married women of Tabriz that 200 people who were selected by simple random sampling, completed Social Support Scale Cassidy & Long, Social capital scale Delaviz, Abuse Questionnaire Moffitt and et al. The data indicated by descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficients and regression analysis were used for further analysis. The results showed that there is relationship significant and positive between spouse abuse with social support and social capital. Multiple regression analysis also showed that social support and social capital are able to predict changes in spouse abuse. According to the results obtained and health authorities can increase social support and social capital, to reduce problems caused by the spouse abuse.
