Explanation of Architectural Documented Planning Based on SWOT Technique Case Study: South Kargar Avenue, District 11 of Tehran

Urban planning is one of the ways of organizing urban spaces in order to identify potentials and existing capabilities and it is applied to make optimal use. District 11 of Tehran is one of the most important areas of this metropolis. This study is focused on South Kargar Avenue range in District 3. The purpose of this paper is to explain architectural strategic planning and the components related to the physical characteristics and urban facilities. In this study it is attempted to assess and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in this area by using the SWOT model. This research is theoretical and practical in nature with descriptive-analytical content and its method of data collection is a combination of library and field research. In the field studies after research, questionnaires are used and the sample size of respondents is 50. After people responded, by using SWOT Analysis Technique, the internal and external factors are assessed. Research findings indicated that Matrix inner and outer scores are 3.98 and 3.37, respectively; therefore, the dominant strategies for organizing the studied area are Strength Opportunities (SO). Finally, regarding the carried out calculations, five suggestions are presented.
