چکیده :

The present research was conducted with the purpose of the evaluation of lean management in the staff and investigation of strengths and weaknesses in this field. The research method was based on the evaluation and the factor analysis was used to construct a questionnaire. The sample included 300 employees of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences that they were selected among six universities in the method of simple random sampling. The research instrument included the questionnaire of the lean management of the researcher and the questionnaire of the quality of services of SERVQUAL (1985) performed simultaneously. The content reliability was confirmed by the experts and validity of the instruments using the factor analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis using the factor principal components showed that four factors were extracted and 0.65 of the variance of the lean management was explained. The finding related to the convergent validity showed the correlation coefficient of the lean management and the quality of services of SERVQUAL. Internal consistency showed high alpha coefficients both for the lean management of the general research (0.91) and for the factors (from 0.80 to 0.90). The assessment results from the components of the lean management showed that the staff in some factors such as overall score of the lean management, the lean leadership and the lean production had the mean performance and the staff of the university had the high performance in the lean culture and structure. Also, there was observed a significant difference among the components of the lean management of the staff.
