Designing Broken-back box culverts with help of dissipators of flow energy using energy equations

Open channel hydraulics indeed are study the water flow behavior and events relating to flow through artificial or natural channels either in covered form or including freesurface in contact with atmosphere pressure. Among the various types of covered channels culverts or water convey channels are the structures created in order to conduct water from on side of hill to another side of that due to establishing ways, rail way, and soon. Different factors such as: Section dimensions, length and roughness of culvert, the height of water in upstream and downstream as well as slope of culvert influence how the flow is within it. This Paper aims to investigation water flow through broken-back culverts using equations of flow control and presenting appropriate design methods according to the specific conditions and available parameters in every status and finally reaching desired results.
