چکیده :

This paper presents the fabrication of a tunable optical gate based on polymer dispersed liquid crystal by photo-polymerization method. The obtained film was milky and opaque, and applied electric field increases its transparency. The amount of scattered photons passing through this film is tunable, which tends to high controllability of the films transparency by adjusting applied electric field. This photo-polymerized device showed high electro-optical response and low response time. Additionally, the devices tested at different ambient conditions include different temperatures and various relative humidities. Its behavior is explained, and observations are analyzed.
