چکیده :

In this paper, the nano-mechanical properties of gelatin/poly(ethylene glycol diacrylates) (PEGda) IPNs are investigated. By applying simultaneous and/or sequential cross-linking procedure, two different structures are formed. Moreover, the effect of adding nano-clay (Closite Na+) is studied. Using atomic force microscopy (AFM), nanoindentation with a Berkovich tip is applied in imaging and indentation modes on samples at room temperature. The results showed that the type of cross-linking procedure and the amount of nano-clay significantly influence mechanical properties of IPNs in including hardness and elastic modulus.
