چکیده :

Biodiesel has several distinct advantages compared with petrodiesel such as reduction of most exhaust emissions, derivation from a renewable domestic resource. In this research, micro spherical γ-Al2O3 support has been synthesized by utilizing a spray dryer. Different base catalysts, LiNO¬3, KOH and NaOH, have been prepared with impregnation method. The catalysts applied in transesterification reaction for biodiesel production from Waste cooking oil. The main operating parameters were 8:1 molar ratio of methanol to oil, 4wt% catalyst and reaction temperature of 60°C. The prepared catalysts were characterized with XRD, BET and SEM techniques. The produced biodiesel samples were analysed by TGA and H1NMR methods. The results revealed the best performance of KOH/ γ-Al2O3 catalyst with 95.8% conversion among the other catalysts.
