چکیده :

ABSTRACT The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between meritocracy and manpower motivation of state agencies. The most common and appropriate method; that is descriptive- quantitative, was used in the study. Population of the study consists of all staffs of Ahwaz Jondishapour University of Medical Sciences that was 519 people. According to Morgan Formula, the sample size was reached to 224. Stratified sampling method was used forselecting the participants of the study. T-test and ANOVA have been used for testing hypothesis. Instruments of this field study were two questionnaires of meritocracy and motivational factors. Results showed that there was a relationship between education level, managers' experience, and employees' motivation. It was also found that there was a relationship between managers' competence and performance and employees' motivation. Moreover, a relationship existed between political and legal factors of society (based on meritocracy) and employees' motivation. However, there was no relationship between structural and managerial factors of organization (based on meritocracy) and members' motivation. Finally, it was demonstrated that there was a relationship between organizational technology (technical system and knowledge based on meritocracy) and employees' motivation.
