Assessment of design and customer requirements in cinema industry (highest-grossing films) using fuzzy QFD

QFD method, is one of useful tools in quality management that are used highly in our output and services in different industries. QFD increases customer satisfaction using customer requirements. Fuzzy QFD is used in cinema industry. In this paper, triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs) are used. Cinema is the newest art branch that called it seventh art that these da and it is one of the most current and common products that generate the best art production. This research is done in Iran and Iranian movies will be studied. The purpose of this research is analysis of effective factors on movie sales. The interest of the Iranian people towards the cinema has increased. Selling movies is more than previous years. Firstly, customer requirements and design requirements are identified. In addition, the relationship between customer requirements and design requirements will be determined. Their proportional weight is calculated. TOPSIS method is used to calculate the customer requirements weight. After the calculations, customer requirements and design requirements are prioritized. “Subject and content”, “Genre”, “Film factors”, and “Price” are the most important customer requirements. The most important design requirements are: “Scenario”, “Director”, “Producer”, “Cast, actor and actress”, and “Cost and budgeting”. The result of this research can increase customer's satisfaction.
