The Future of Sustainable and Eco Design What and Why?

Global warming is now known to be speeding up. The only way in which we can cope with this level of climate change is to adapt rapidly to living in a warmer world, and fundamental to this adaptation in the built environment is the adoption of more effective, and widely used, methods for passively cooling buildings. Housing designed according to bioclimatic principles is becoming an important part of the journey towards achieving sustainable ecological development. The term ‘bioclimatic’ has traditionally related to the relationship between climate and living organisms, or to the study of bioclimatology. During recent years, initiatives have been developed to create an international policy framework of environmental improvement leading to sustainable development. In the near future, residential buildings will be the main outputs of the building sector. Although the green building design or sustainable architecture has many common aspects with ecological design specially in their care of earth and people, but the concept in different in sense of sustainable architecture is to minimize the negative impact of the building on the environment while the ecological design goal is to set out a positive increase of beneficial interactions with the environment.
