The effect of coenzyme Q10, vitamin C and effective drugs on reduce the incidence of atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery

Introduction: Atrial fibrillation is the most common cardiac arrhythmias after coronary artery bypass graft surgery, which can cause palpitations, the hemodynamic instability and thromboembolic events. Coenzyme Q10, as an antioxidant important role in reducing the incidence of atrial fibrillation after surgery. Also recently the role of inflammation and oxidative stress in the pathophysiology of atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery is emphasized. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of coenzyme Q10, vitamin C and effective drugs on reduce the incidence of atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery was performed.
