چکیده :

Introduction: About 4 million babies born each year in America are on average 12.7% of them are premature. Since these babies face an average of 10 to 14 pain relievers on average each day, it is necessary to have interventions to reduce the pain in newborns that have adverse effects on their health and their development and development. This study investigated the effect of music on physiological indices of pain in premature infants admitted to neonatal intensive care unit. Methods: This systematic review article by searching on Google scholar search engine and databases magiran, Sid, PubMed and iranmedex by keyword Music, Premature Babies, Physiological Responses, Pain and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has taken place during 1990 to 2017 took place. Interventional articles have been used in this study. Results: The results of various studies showed that live music, Mozart, and lullaby had no significant statistical effect on the physiological indices of neonatal pain (heart rate, respiration, and arterial oxygen saturation). But dual therapy with music and kangaroo surveillance, music transitions, guitar, Mozart, ABABABABA and recorded lullaby and live lullabies have been effective on some of these physiological indicators. Piano music compared with breastfeeding reduces the pain caused by heel sticks. Another study also found that music was associated with the reduction of stress in premature infants. The Voice of the Quran is also introduced as a religious music affecting the physiological indices of neonatal pain. Conclusion: Regarding the contradictory results about the effect of music therapy on the pain of newborns admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, it seems that the removal of disturbing variables, such as disturbing sounds in the neonatal area and larger sample sizes, can help to obtain correct and error-free results. It is suggested that further studies be conducted to compare different types of music, especially the Quran vocabulary, in order to find suitable music for use in the neonatal intensive care unit.
