چکیده :

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence training on aggression, emotional intelligence and academic performance of male high-school students in Behbahan. The random multi-stage sampling method was used for selection of subjects. Also, 60 students who were diagnosed as having aggressive were divided into two groups (experimental and first control). In addition, 30 normal students (without aggression) were selected randomly from the same schools as experimental group, as the second control group. The design of the study was pretest-posttest with control groups and the experimental group received 12 sessions of emotional intelligence training. The results of MANCOVA (multivariate analysis of covariance) showed that the intervention decreased the aggression and increased emotional intelligence and school performance in experimental group. The results of the present study indicate that emotional intelligence training decreased the aggression and increased emotional intelligence and academic performance in male students.
