In order to studies the effects of plant density on agronomical and morphologic characteristics which are related to the lodging in rice varieties, an experiment was carried out in split plot in randomized complete block design with four replications at north of Iran in 2009. The main plots was rice varieties including (Tarom Mahalli, Tarom Hashemi, Tarom Deylamani, Tarom Langhrodi and Sang Tarom) and sub plots was plant density in three levels including (40, 80 and 120 plant per m²). The results showed that Tarom Langrodi had minimum total spikelets number per panicle and hollow spikelets number per panicle and minimum total tiller number per hill and panicles number per m² had seen sequentially in Tarom Mahalli and Sang Tarom. The least length of first, second, and third internode length, the most third internode diameter and minimum plant height was obtained for Tarom Langhrodi. Internode number and first, second and third internode length and forth internode diameter and third and forth internode bending moment were decreased as plant density increased. Minimum of third and forth internode lodging index were observed at 80 plant per m². Interaction effects in plant density had significant effects on all parameters except panicle number per m².
