Alphones Gabriel, an Austrian Iranologist who was seeking for finding unknowns, several times traveled to Iran with his wife. However, the main difference between him and other travelers and Iranologists who came to Iran before might be studying the works which he had read before traveling to Iran. By early studying and in order to explore unknowns, he traveled around Iran and its deserts, since in his view Iran has been called the heart of the Orient, and as a result of his wife and his travels, some books also have been written which are the results of their accurate observations through their trip to Iran. They also refer to many valuable points about Iranian races, religion and culture in these books. The goal of this paper is finding a suitable answer for reaching the outcomes and goals and motives of Alphones Gabriel and it is based on the works of these two curious couple.
