Preparing and standardization of religious beliefs scale in Iranian people

ABSTRACT: Religion is so complex and broad that it shows off its different aspects for different views and attitudes, no generations has been empty of religious beliefs which is so important. This research is an applied research and it can be called exploratory, because its factors will be recognized and specified by exploratory method. With regards to the aim of the research, a 28 question test was prepared for testing the religious beliefs. It was administered in Western Azarbayjan_ Iran and the participants were 732 people. Three main factor were extracted from the test by using the analytic method and after 8 repetition. Coronbach’s alpha shows that each three factor has high reliability (0.77). These three main factor explain 49.82 of total variance. Some questions that had low correlation coefficient were removed. It can be concluded that having high religious beliefs causes more mental health and also more happiness in people. Totally we can say that a 26 question religious beliefs scale was a suitable test for testing the religious beliefs by researchers and advisers. The 26 question test includes three factors and all factors has high reliability and also it makes a little time for administration of the test.
