The present study aims to study the concept of revenge in epic with evidences from Shahnameh; taking revenge is also important concept in phycology. To do so, first the principles of revenge in ancient Iran was studied, and then to understand it better from psychological viewpoint the motivations of revenge in ancient Iran was studied.
